The year is 2029. The ribbon cutting loving Cuomo returns to downtown Brooklyn to jump start his campaign. At the ribbon cutting for the Brooklynverse district, formerly known as Fulton Mall, the Cuomo proclaims a new era for Brooklyn as the capital of culturetech.

The Cuomo: “For years the borough was synonymous with ‘fuhgettaboutit’ for years to come this will be where tourists from all over the globe visit and then ‘tellaboutit.’ What has been an ordinary and overlooked area is now a world class destination.”

New York mag: “lookout Times Square – Brooklyn is back and back to the future.”

Spike Lee: “I don’t know how its supposed to be the Brooklynverse with no Bernard King, no Carmelo, no Stephon Marbury.”

ABC Development Group:  “The Brooklynverse is where Brooklyn’s past meets its present and future. Take a ride on the hover trolley as Jackie Gleason’s Ralph Cramden call out the stops. Get off on Tony Manero way for a disco street party led by Travolta. Take the kids to the Ebbets Field, play a little catch with Koufax. Hungry? Enjoy Nonna’s pasta and request your favorite song from Sinatra. Or make your own rap song and video starring Jay-Z. The Brooklynverse is where dreams come alive.”

NY Magazine interview with a resident of The Paxton, a building that opened in 2024 located just a block away: “I’m not excited about all the tourists, but they had to do something with that street. I don’t anyone who even walked down there.” The Brooklyn Eagle notes that a mile South down Flatbush Avenue the Brooklyn Library is hosting an exhibit on the nothing there street, Fulton Mall, featuring the work of photographer Jamel Shabazz.
